Mike Reed is Co-Founder and COO of Realis Solutions Group, where he helps C-suite leaders cut through the AI noise and implement strategies that actually move the business. Based in Austin, he's spent his career translating complex technology into execution real teams can run with, which turns out to be the harder half of the problem.

Before Realis, he was Field CISO for Cloud Security and AI at Fortra, leading executive conversations on cloud security, GenAI, and the messy reality of building a security posture across data, applications, network and users. Before that, nearly three years at AWS running managed SaaS ISV partnerships and the network security category on AWS Marketplace, working with the ISV, GSI and MSSP partners most enterprises actually depend on to run in the cloud.



The part of his background most people don't see coming is the 25+ years in paramedicine. He spent 15 years as an In-Charge Paramedic with Harris County Emergency Corps, running a Mobile Intensive Care Unit on high-acuity 911 calls in the Houston area. That's not a resume line, that's a worldview. When he talks about AI in the enterprise, the instinct to focus on the systems around the technology, the people, the decisions, the moments where things break, comes from somewhere real.
